Congress’ Rahul Gandhi meets Una victims, promises help

Ahmedabad: On Thursday, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi met the victims of the Una incident in Gujarat and promised to provide help from his party.

The Una incident which saw few cow supporters brutally beating up seven Dalit youths on allegations that they had supposedly killed a cow and then skinned her saw an uproar in both the Houses of the Parliament. Also, numerable protests have been witnessed in the state.

Number of Dalit youths also tried to commit suicide following the incident. Dalits also got down on the streets protesting against the same and there has been lot of destruction to public property.

Also, reports are that the Dalit youths are not involved in killing of the cow and that they were being soft targeted by the supporters of the cow.
