Congress’ Sonia Gandhi in Varanasi, to hold road show today

Varanasi: Ahead of the crucial Assembly Polls 2017 in UP, Congress President Sonia Gandhi will today hold a road show in Varanasi. As of now, Sonia has reached Varanasi and would start the road show at 12 noon from Kachahari and will the party will cover a distance of eight kilometers in three hours.

A confirmation on the road show came from party’s chief ministerial candidate Sheila Dikshit during a press conference held on Monday. Also, she added that the UP Congress chief Raj Babbar and other veterans of the party including Ghulam Nabi Azad, Salman Khurshid, Sriprakash Jaiswal, Pramod Tiwari, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Zafar Ali, Sanjay Singh, Rana Goswami, Rajesh Mishra, Ajay Rai, Rajeshpati Tripathi among others will take part in the road show.

The road show will conclude at Englishiyaline. Here, Sonia might also address the people here and will also garland the statue of former Union Minister and Uttar Pradesh chief minister late Kamlapati Tripathi

This road show is part of Congress’ campaign named ’27 Saal, UP Behaal’. In her speech, Sonia will be seen attacking the ruling Samajwadi Party here over the condition of law and order in the state.

She will also highlight the recent incident of gang-rape in Bulandshahr.
