Court grants bail to Hardik Patel on conditions

Ahmedabad: Patidar agitation leader Hardik Patel has been granted bail by the Gujarta High Court today in the two sedition cases after putting condition that he will stay outside the state for six months.

In a big relief to Hardik who stayed behind the bars for over 200 days, will not come out of jail as there were other cases registered against him in which he has not granted bail till yet.

He got bail in the sedition cases registered against him in Surat and Ahmedabad on Friday, there are other cases against him in Visnagar, Padadhar and some other places as well.

During the last hearing, Hardik assured the High Court that he is ready to stay away from the state for six months if granted the bail in sedition cases.

He was facing charges in connection against the violence during the reservation quota agitation.

This was in response to alarms expressed by the Gujarat government counsel that release of Hardik will put law and order in the state at risk.
