Court issues fresh NBW against James in AgustaWestland deal, three summoned

New Delhi: A fresh open-ended Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) was today issued against British national Christian Michel James by court while three others were summoned who were accused in the Rs 3,600 cr Agusta Westland helicopter deal.

Due to the fact that Delhi-based Media Exim Pvt. Ltd. and its Directors R.K. Nanda and former Director J.B. Subramaniyam did not appeared in the court, a fresh warrant was today issued by the Special Judge Arvind Kumar.

The court has fixed the next date of hearing on 22 January and has asked them to appear. The company will be represented by an authorised representative. The court said there is prima facie sufficient evidence against the accused.

Subsequent to consideration of a supplementary charge sheet in the case, the court issued summons against the company and two individuals on December 1.
