Cricket World Cup: Indian women geared up for their first match

US: India’s women cricket team is all geared up for their first match against title contenders England today.

Earlier India has registered thumping victory against South Africa in the Quadrangular series by eight wickets which gave a morale boaster.

India will play the world cup under the shade of experienced Captain Mithali Raj who has the experience to lead her team in more than 100 ODIs. Mithali firstly aims to qualify for the semis by continuing her sublime form in this mammoth tournament.

The quadrangular series also witnessed some great knocks by Deepti Sharma and Poonam Raut and the duo of these two scored more than 300 runs against Ireland. Smriti Mandhana who is returning after an injury will add strength to her side. Presence of Harmanpreet kaur will also play a crucial role in India’s win.
