Delhi girl tops CBSE Class 12 Exam Results 2016 with 99.4 per cent

New Delhi: On Saturday, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Class 12 Results 2016 on its official website.

The student to have topped in the results is Delhi’s Sukriti Gupta of Montfort School who has secure 99.4 per cent marks. She has secured 497 of 500 marks in the board examination.

This time, with a pass percentage of 88.58 per cent girls outshines the boys in the Class Results 2016. The pass percentage of the boys is 78.85 per cent.

When talking about region wise, students of South India have done better in terms of pass percentage, highest being that of Thiruvanathapuram Region at 97.61, followed by Chennai which has a pass percentage of 92.63.

The overall pass percentage this year has improved (83.05) when compared to last year (82). Also, this time there has been has been 2.38 per cent increase in number of candidates.
