Despite setback, Amit Shah confident of 150 seats in Gujarat assembly polls

Gandhinagar: BJP President Amit Shah is clear when it comes to setting up the agenda. He wants 150 of the total 182 seats in Gujarat in the upcoming Assembly elections.

By winning 150 seats, party would wins three Rajya Sabha seats in the state next time. This time around while Shah and Smriti Irani were elected to the RS, Balwantsinh Rajpur was defeated by Ahmed Patel.

Shah, who resigned as the state MLA told party members that figure of 150 should be kept in mind for the near future.

He also said that the assembly secretary has explained to him that Balwantsinh was defeated by around 0.40 votes, and could have won, had he got that many votes.

Amit Shah also continued his attack on the Congress stating that the party’s leadership was responsible for the crisis it faced.
