Diesel vehicles with engine capacity of 2,000 cc or above can be registered in NCR: Supreme Court

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today lifted the ban on registering diesel vehicles in NCR and said that all diesel vehicles with engine capacity of 2,000 cc or above can now be registered in the National Capital Region subject to depositing one percent of the ex-showroom price of the car with the Central Pollution Control Board.

The bench of Chief Justice T.S Thakur, Justice A.K.Sikri and Justice R.Banumathi said that the registration of cars would take place only on the production of payment proof.
