Disney’s ‘The Jungle Book’ mints Rs. 150 crore in India

Mumbai: Disney’s ‘The Jungle Book’ is having a golden run at the Indian Box Office and has minted over Rs. 150 crore since its release.

“The Jungle Book’ is rewriting the rules of the game… Attains an enviable feat by crossing Rs.150 crore… Setting new benchmarks,” tweeted trade expert Taran Adarsh.

The film, which features Indian-American child artist Neel Sethi as Mowgli is released in India in four languages (English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu).

‘The Jungle Book’ has done tremendously well at Box Office despite being in competition with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan starrer film ‘Fan’.

Within 10 days, the film managed to enter the 100 crore club.

Bollywood stars Irrfan Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Nana Patekar, Shefali Shah and Om Puri have lent their voices for the Hindi version of “The Jungle Book”.

Disney studio has confirmed the film’s sequel post receiving overwhelming response globally.
