Drunk student kills two with speeding car in Delhi

New Delhi: In yet another incident of drunk and drive, two people which include an elderly man were killed whereas another was severely injured after being hit by a speeding car driven by a 21-year-old drunk student in West Delhi’s Janakpuri area yesterday.

A senior official investigating in the case said that the accused, Rishabh is the son of a businessman. As per reports, the incident took place at 6:30 am when Rishabh was returning from a party at a friend’s house in West Delhi’s Hari Nagar area. Rishabh was driving his father’s Honday Ciy.

He hit three people who were out on their morning walk, as confirmed by an official.

The deceased have been identified as Kameshwar Prasad (40) and Ashwani Anand (67). Also, the injured, Santosh (40) is not in a state to record his statement.

Soon after the incident, Rishabh was arrested soon after the accident. Rishabh has been booked under charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder among others under IPC and Motor Vehicles Act.

CCTV footage of the accident has one viral on the social media showing Rishabh over speeding his vehicle and hitting the people.
