Earthquake of intensity 5.9 shake Philippines

Manila: According to the information given by the officials, in an incident that took place today at Luzon island in the Philippines where two earthquakes measuring 5.9 and 5.7 on the Richter scale today.

As per the reports of the United States Geological Survey, the first took place 17 km to the west of Batangas neighborhood at a depth of 40 km.

According to the reports given by the media, a minute later, another shock was felt around 13 km west of Batangas at a depth of 42 km.

Terrestrial movements were felt in Manila as well, around 100 km north of the shock’s epicenter, where offices and tall buildings were evacuated for security.
