Earthquake of magnitude 5.6 hits Nepal

Kathmandu:  According to the information given by an official of National Siesmological Centre, an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 on Richer scale today hit Nepal around 5.20 a.m.

The tremors of the earthquake were felt in north-east India, quake has its epicentre in Solukhumbu, near the border of Ramechhap district close to capital.

The tremors reminded people of 2015 quake of 7.8 magnitude. People rushed out from their houses and buildings. However, there was no casualty or damage to property was reported.

The great quake of April 25, 2015, killed at least 8,900 people and injured many.
