Eight MLAs from SP, BSP, Congress inducted in BJP ahead UP Polls

New Delhi: Ahead of the upcoming polls in UP, 8 MLAs from different parties joined the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) today. The MLAs belong to the Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) and Congress.

Samajwadi Party MLA Sher Bahadur, Rampal Yadav; Congress MLAs Vijay Dubey, Madhuri Verma, Sanjay Jaiswal and BSP MLAs Bala Prasad Awasthi and Rajesh Tripathi have joined BJP. This will give a booster to BJP in the polls which are due in May 2017.

On Monday, ex BSP leader, Swami Prasad Maurya joined the BJP. He quit from BSP some time back and alleged that its supremo, Mayawati sells tickets for money.

Maurya joined the party in the national capital in presence of party president Amit Shah and he said that if he gets ample support from the party, then it would come to power in the state and that too with a strong majority.
