Eight Universities declared fake in UP by UGC

Lucknow: In a big jolt to almost eight universities in Uttar Pradesh today have been declared fraudulent by the University Grant Commission (UGC).

According to UGC official, Uttar Pradesh has figured as the state with most fake universities in a list of 22 fake universities in the country.

The list of fake Universities in Uttar Pradesh are as follow: Gurukul University (Vrindavan), Mahila Gram Vidyapeeth (Allahabad), Gandhi Hindi Vidyapeeth (Allahabad), National University of Electro Complex Homoeopathy (Kanpur), Indraprastha Education Council (Noida), Varanaseya Sanskrit University (Varanasi) and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Open University (Aligarh).
