Elderly man died while standing in long ATM queue

Devariya, (Uttar Pradesh): An elderly man who was standing in long queue outside the ATM of a State Bank of India (SBI) to withdraw cash was reportedly death after he became a victim of stampede in Uttar Padesh’ Dewariya district today.




According to police, a 65-year-old man identified as Ramnath Kushwaha was trampled to death outside a bank while standing in a queue to withdraw cash.

Kushwaha was caught in a stampede outside the State Bank of India branch on Monday. He was trampled by a crowd who had gathered to withdraw cash is believed to be a resident of Gulriha village.




Devariya, Superintendent of Police, Mohd Imran said, he had gone to withdraw money to make payments to a hospital, where his pregnant daughter-in-law has been admitted.

The SP said, Kushwaha was immegetely rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
