Emirates airlines flight Boeing 777 makes crash landing at Dubai airport

(United Arab Emirates): Dubia bound Emirates Group airlines flight from Kerala makes crash landing after it caught fire while landing at Dubai International airport with 275 passengers on board, according to eye witnesses and officials.

An Emirates plane Boeing 777 flight which had taken off from Thiruvananthapuram at 10.19 a.m. and was to land at 12.50 p.m. at Dubai, the airline said.

The flight which crash landed here today with the 275 passengers including crew members on board had been evacuated safely and no injuries reported.

The Dubai media office tweeted about the incident involving flight EK521, “Concerned Authorities at #Dubai International Airport are dealing with the incident at the moment to ensure safety of all. All passengers were evacuated safely and no injuries have been reported so far.”

Emirates confirmed that flight EK521 from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai has been involved in an accident at Dubai international airport.

Video footage showed smoke billowing out of the Boeing 777 which has a capacity of carrying over 300 passengers.
