England beat India by seven wickets in 1st T20I on Republic Day

Kanpur: Visitor England thrashed India by seven wickets in the first cricket Twenty20 International to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series at Green Park stadium today in Kanpur.




Former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the highet scorer for India side with an unbeaten 36 while Moeen Ali took two wickets for 21 runs for the visitors.

England skipper Eoin Morgan smashed a match-winning 51 runs for his side.




Earlier, England after winning toss invited India to bat first, the host managed to scored 147 for seven against the visitors in the first cricket Twenty20 International today at Green Park Stadium.

For home side former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the highet scorer with an unbeaten 36 while Moeen Ali took two wickets for 21 runs for the visitors.
