Making a difference in the lives of women in UP, FICCI FLO Lucknow-Kanpur Chapter is all set to raise the issue of child abuse as well.
Coming into the foray is the Noble Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi, who is going to be in Lucknow on 7th October, participating in the FICCI FLO Lucknow-Kanpur Chapter program at Scientific Convention Centre. The main objective of this program is to put an end to domestic child abuse.
Also going to make its presence felt in the program is Rita Bahuguna Joshi, UP Cabinet Minister, Women Welfare and Child Welfare.
“Millions of children around the world are trapped in child labour ,depriving them of their childhood, their health and education, and condemning them to a life of poverty and want. We can do our bit to bring those numbers down by making it a community initiative and running to raise awareness,” pointed out Renuka Tandon, Senior Vice Chair Person, FICCI FLO Lucknow-Kanpur Chapter.
Renuka Tandon further added: “Fighting child labour is an ongoing battle, but you can be part of the solution. Bringing hope, health, safety, and support to child victims in your community can now be achieve if we start mass awareness programs and work towards the safety of our children.”
FICCI FLO, Lucknow Kanpur chapter is playing a pivotal part in helping women from downtrodden sections earn a livelihood. They are training women in vocations which would give them a better income.
The Lucknow Kanpur Chapter is encouraging women to get on to Mahila e-Haat, an online initiative by the Women Welfare Ministry to help women market handicrafts and other products made at home or services like mehendi decoration on the website for free.
