Lucknow: The Surjapur court District chief judicial magistrate Vijay Kumar ordered the police to register FIR and investigate the matter against seven members of Akhlaq family in Bisada cow slaughtering case.
The order has been given by judicial magistrate after a group of residents field an application under Section 156 (3) of CrPC.
The request was made to direct police to lodge an FIR in the case. The villagers were headed by Surajpal Singh who has filed a complaint based on the forensic report.
Surajpal Singh lawyer, Rajeev Tyagi said he had named seven persons of Akhlaq family members including wife, mother, brother, daughter and son. Apart from these names the name of Akhlaq’s brother wife is also named in the complaint.
