Kolkata: According to the information given by the fire brigade official, major fire broke out yesterday at a city hotel in Kolkata in which two people lost their lives while more than six people got injured.
The fire broke out on the ground floor of Golden Park Hotel at around 2.55 a.m., the official said. “We managed to rescue 31 people from the hotel. Six of them who were injured were shifted to the SSKM Hospital,” he added.
As many as 10 fire tenders were pressed into service that worked for two hours to control the blaze.
“The situation is under control. The reason of the fire can be comprehended only after forensic investigations,” he added.
