First Lucknow Metro trail arrives in the city

Lucknow: The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMCR) has today received first four car coaches of Lucknow Metro.

The first set of Lucknow Metro train is manufactured by Alstom in Chennai, were off loaded at the Transport Nagar depot of LMRC in Alambagh on Sunday.

The LMRC had given the contract to Alstom to build 20 trains of four coaches each, in the year 2015 to a French company.

The features of these Metro coaches are they are scratch-proof with an LED to display the information. It also has emergency communication facilities, wherein passengers can talk to the train driver, directly.

In addition, the Metro station and trains will be under the surveillance of centralised security control.

The officials said the Metro is equipped with all modern facilities and pas senger safety devices, along with comfortable seating arrangements, for the passengers.

At least 80 coaches have to be delivered for the 23km north-south corridor.
