Five detained for attacking Nigerian students

Uttar Pradesh: According to the information given by the media, five people were put behind the bar for attacking four Nigerian students yesterday.

While talking to the media, assistant Director General Daljeet Chaudhary went on to say: “Police have arrested 5 persons. FIR registered, action will be taken accordingly.”

One of the victims spoke to the media today and went on to explain the incident and said, “We asked people around for help, but not one called the police. Even our college did not help.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath promised a fair investigation of the matter.

UP minister S. Nath went on to say: “Attack on Nigerian students (is) a serious issue. Proper probe will be done. Report will be provided to centre at earliest.”
