Fog adds inconvenience to passengers, trains running behind schedule

Allahabad: Just like every year, fog started affecting people as the trains are running late and several trains have also been cancelled in order to avoid the possibility of any mishap or accidents. Recently, an accident took place in Mathura wherein a truck and a car crashed in due to the invisibility on the roads due to fog.

The passengers were left disappointed and stuck at the railway station for hours waiting for their respective trains to arrive.

On the other hand, the trains coming from Delhi or running on the Delhi-Howrah route are worst affected. For example, Prayagraj Express was scheduled to arrive Allahabad junction at 6.50 AM but arrived around 3.25 PM that is eight hours late. Same goes with, several other trains, including Duronto Express, Nandankanan, North-East Express, Kalka Mail and Jodhpur-Howrah are all running over 6 -9 hours late.

When media persons asked passengers about their inconvenience, Sanjeev who had to travel in Chaurichura Express went on to say that: “Not anticipating the inclement weather, I had come to the station at 8am to board Chaurichura Express. But the train came three hours late.”
