Get ready for Congress Satyagraha in Gujarat on September 1

Ahmedabad: After Lalu Yadav’s anti-BJP rally in Patna on August 27, Congress is all set to launch a satyagraha on 1 September alongside other opposition parties.

Gujarat, where BJP is in power for more than 10 years, goes to elections later this year and the Congress is hoping to consolidate goodwill among Patidar and tribals.

Both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are going to be a part of this protest.

Party leaders told Pardaphash that invitations were being sent to opposition leaders for the mega protest in Gujarat.

This has come straight after Ahmed Patel managing to win a Rajya Sabha election in a thrilling contest.

Whether this protest is going to turn into votes is a different matter altogether but at least opposition parties have started showing up.

According to Congress, NCP is in talks with Shankersinh Vaghela to float a new party which could contest the Gujarat assembly polls.
