Ranchi: In a shocking incident a young girl student in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur district today committed suicide because of she failed to get money from the bank to deposit for college admission.

According to police officials, the victim identified as Bindu who hails from Jamshedpur, had to pay Rs 30,000 for admission for a Bachelor of Education (BEd) course, but could not do it despite a deposit of Rs 37,000 in her Gramin bank account.

Her village’s sarpanch, Raimani, said she was given Rs 5,000 cash two days ago but then informed by the bank that the money she wanted could not be given.

Raimani told media persons that her dream was to become teacher and get the Best Teacher Award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
