Goons run away with Rs 1 crore from cash van in Lucknow

Lucknow: The ruling Samajwadi party government in Uttar Pradesh who claims to be acting strict on law and order situation in the state seems to have been failing as unrecognized group of people fled away with demonetized currency notes worth Rs 1 crore from the posh Gole Market area of Mahanagar locality which is near to Civil Lines police station in Lucknow city.

According to police, the incident took place in day boarding light when a cash van which was carrying amount worth Rs 1 crore and 10 lakh, to transfer cash into the Bank of India (BOI) branch along with a driver and a security person.

Interesting angle in this cash van burglary is this that the driver and the security guard who were standing near the van was not be able to know about act.

During the crime was given result the one of the cash van guard along with cashier went to the bank to give cash worth Rs 10 from the total amount.

The investigation officer told media persons that from the total amount of Rs 1 crore 10 lakh money there were about only ten lakh money was only the new currency amount and the rest amount was demonetized money which the culprits run away with.

The driver of the cash van Sunil Kannaujia and the guard Inder Singh left surprised when the cashier returned back to the van and noticed that the box in which the demonetized currency was kept was missing from the cash van.

When the incident came into limelight, it was reported to the nearest police station after which the police came into action and stared querying the driver of the cash van and the guard.

The police have deputed special team to nab the culprits and have started investigating the case.

A team of police have taken footage of CCTV to further investigate the case and additional teams have been recruited along with Crime Branch to look into the matter.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Trans Gomti, Durgesh Kumar informed media persons that we are interrogating the matter and as a precautionary step we are questioning the driver and the guard of the van first of all.

He assured reporters that the culprits will under the arrest of the police for sure.

We bring you below the list of some of other burglary incident:

• On June 22nd, 2015, a cash van was looted by the goons in which Rs 20 lakhs were taken away after culprits shoots bullets at two persons during when which one of the guard died at the incident place. The incident was took place at Sarojni nagar area in Indira nagar colony.

• Another incident took place on 7 January, 2015 at the Kaiserbagh locality when some gangsters run away with Rs 1 crore 35 lakhs after a cash van came to refill the ATM of Bank of Baroda branch.

• Same kind of incident took place on February 27th, 2015 when cash van which came to transfer money worth Rs 50 lakhs into the ATM of HDFC has been looted by the culprits in which three persons were killed after culprits shot at them with gun, the crime takes place under the police station at Hasangunj.
