Mumbai: Filmmaker Mohit Suri’s upcoming venture ‘Half Girlfriend’ starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in pivotal roles has finally gone on floors. The love story is based on the famous Indian writer Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name.
Confirming the same, Chetan shared a picture of the clapperboard from the sets of the film.
This will be the second time after ‘2 States’ when Arjun will be seen in a film is written by Chetan Bhagat. The actor will be seen playing the role of a basket ball player, Madhav Jha. Arjun has already training for the game in USA.

Talking about the film, Arjun in his statement to a daily said, “There is pathos and drama in Half Girlfriend. It’s not just a frivolous rom-com (romantic-comedy). It’s a drama. That film has a journey. It’s a romantic journey and for me that is very exciting.”
He added, “I have never done film where there is a rise and fall in love of a boy. If anybody has read the book, then they must be aware of the journey of Madhav Jha (his character). In the film there is a time lapse (of about) seven-eight years between the beginning of the film and the end of the film.”
Shraddha will be seen playing a high profile Delhi girl. The film will hit theaters in 2016.
