“Halls of Nuclear Power” gets 38th PRSI National Award for NPCIL

Best Public Awareness Programme

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL), received 38th PRSI “National Awards 2016” for “Halls of Nuclear Power”, and “Connecting Lives- Nationwide Media Facilitation and Public Awareness programme” in the categories of Best Public Awareness Programme and Best Communication Campaign (External Public) respectively, by eminent members of Jury in 38th All India Public Relations Conference held, during 16th-18th December, 2016 at Kolkata.

Amidst the congregation of prominent public relation practitioners, representatives of corporate communications of leading PSUs, corporate houses, govt. organizations and renowned media personalities the award was being conferred.

On behalf of NPCIL, the awards were received by Shri. Amritesh Srivastava, Sr. Manager, Media & Corporate Communications, NPCIL, Mumbai. The programme was inaugurated in the august presence of Dr. Chandan Mitra, Editor-in-chief, Pioneer along with Dr. Ajit Pathak, National President, PRSI.

The conference was organised by National Council of Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), which was established in 1958, with a mandate to promote the recognition of public relations as a profession and to formulate the objectives and potentialities of Public Relations as a strategic management function. As a multi-pronged strategy, NPCIL has started many innovative campaigns around the proposed nuclear power plants across the country to dispel the prevailing myths and apprehensions related to nuclear energy.
