Heavy Rains in Delhi delay John Kerry’s address to IIT students by an hour

New Delhi: US Secretary of the State, John Kerry who is in India for the 2nd Indo-US Strategic and Commercial Dialogue (S&CD) took at dig at the water logging caused here by the heavy rains and said that the IIT students reached the institution on boats. This thereby delayed his interaction with the students by an hour.

Rains have been a major spoil sport during Kerry’s visit to India as yesterday, his visit to three religious sites was cancelled. Along with this, his convoy got stuck in a huge traffic jam on the road from the IGI airport for almost a month.

While addressing the students, Kerry talked about the relationship that has been established between the US President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Talking on the issue of extremism, Kerry said, “We have to work hard to understand the different variations of causes.” Also, he went on to say that the terror outfits including Daesh, al Qaeda, LeT, JeM can be dealt with alone.
