HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar discusses new educational policy with RSS in a meet

New Delhi: The newly appointed Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar, who has been handed this portfolio recently held talks with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the new education policy. This is the first time when the Union Minister engaged into a formal meet with the RSS ever since he took charge as the HRD minister.

On Thursday, apart from meeting the senior members of the RSS, Javadekar also discussed the new education policy with the representatives of other organizations namely – Vidya Bharati, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, Sanskrit Bharati, Shiksha Bachao Andolan, Vigyan Bharati and Itihas Sankalan. The meet was also joined by BJP President Amit Shah.

As per reports the meet which was held at Gujarat Bhawan went on for six hours. Reportedly, the inputs provided by the RSS will help instill nationalism, pride and ancient India values in modern education.

Javadekar was handed this portfolio during a reshuffle in PM Modi’s cabinet. Earlier, this department was helmed by Smriti Irani.
