Huawei unveils P9 smartphone at Rs 39,999 for Indian customers

New Delhi: Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment company Huawei today launched its new smartphone P9 with dual –lens flagship at Rs 39,999 for Indian customers.

The Huawei P9 smartphone is first co-engineered with Germany based Leica Camera AG.

Huawei India Consumer Business Group, President, Peter Zhai, told media persons, “We feel photography is a critical element in user experience and Huawei P9 users can now capture images with unmatched clarity, richness and authenticity.”

The features of this device are Kirin 955 2.5GHz 64-bit ARM-based processor, 5.2-inch full-HD display, 3,000mAh battery and comes with two 12MP cameras on the rear and a 8MP front camera.

The device has 3GB RAM and comes with 32GB of internal storage.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system comes pre-installed on the Huawei P9, and Huawei’s EMUI 4.1 is placed on top of it.

The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) has named Huawei P9 the “European Consumer smartphone 2016-17” under its Mobile Device awards.

EISA recognised Huawei’s devices for fourth consecutive year in this category.
