IB issues alert following reports on possible attack by IS in India

New Delhi: The terror outfit, ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) which is known for carrying out the most deadly and brutal acts has failed to make its presence felt in India despite repeated attempts.

As of now, a recent report suggests that IS militants are working towards the same and thereby co-ordinating with the terror groups like the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) to carry out attacks in India.

A report in a leading daily reported about the alert being issued by IB over a possible attack in India. The alert read, ISIS is desperate to make its presence felt in India and for this purpose is trying to co-ordinate with LeT to outsource some of its operations.”

Along with this, the alert adds that the attack in India will be planned and supervised by IS whereas it would be carried out the LeT. The IB officials believe that there attack would be a high profile target.

The alert read, “Such a high-profile attack will help ISIS mark its presence in the country as it would claim responsibility for it and, in the process, attract youth into joining its cadre.”

This latest development comes few days after a video surfaced on the internet showing the IS recruits from India issuing a warning to carry out series of attacks here.
