“I’m not afraid of being fired” says Zinedine Zidane

Madrid: Zinedine Zidane legend French footballer and manager of Real Madrid clarifies that he is not scared of being let off from his post as he is aware of the fact that some day he has to go through similar phase in his career.

Legendary footballer was behind the success of Real Madrid in the Champions League making the team to grab the title of Europe’s best club team for the 11th time.

He had earlier replaced Rafael Benitez in the Santiago Bernabeu hotseat in January.

The team instead of having a good start lost its form and did not win any game since their last victory with a 2-0 win over Espanyol which led them close to Barcelona’s record of 16 games winning run.

The World Champion player Zindane was under pressure as Madrid had drawn four consecutive games- three in the league and team faced one draw match in Champions League.

According to a club website, Zindane today stated “I’m not afraid of being fired” and he also cited about the real problem of Madrid which he feels is psychological and not physical.

“It’s psychological. We are trying to find the problem” said the Legend.

Zindane who was not able to bring La Linga Title back his home also stated “What’s important is to find solutions and I’ll find the solution. There is nothing catastrophic, but it’s not trivial.”

Player turn manager further talking about his team said “whether we win or we lose, they are good people”.
