Imran Khan terms Virat Kohli a better chaser than Sachin Tendulkar

New Delhi: India Test Skipper Virat Kohli is a rising sensation of the Indian cricket team and probably the next legendary icon. His thirst for runs and a penchant for using his bat against spinners, has given him the title of ‘Run Machine’. To add on was his knocking performance as an extraordinary run chaser in IPL 2016 where he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore scoring 943 runs which include four centuries.

Further escalating his credential, he became the fastest batsman to record 6000 runs in ODI’s. With a rising career graph, he is applauded by some well known celebrities including cricketers who were known for their epic performances in the game.

A recent name added to this list of well wishers is that of former Pakistan cricketer, turned politician, Imran Khan who was all praises for the Virat Kohli’s batting prowess and has thereby gone a bit too far in admiring him while saying that he was a better player than Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar in terms of batting and has the ability to roar with his batting prowess even in the most arduous innings.

While talking to a leading website, Imran Khan was reported saying, “Cricket has had eras. In the eighties, it was Viv Richards, and then you had Brian Lara and Sachin Tendulkar who stood out. Virat Kohli is one of the most complete players I’ve seen. He’s so versatile; he plays on both feet, and on all sides of the field.”

Imran also appreciated his temperament saying that it is something that has helped him achieve several milestones during his career so far.

“Apart from his talent and technique, he has a very good temperament. His temperament is better than Sachin’s. Kohli performs at the most difficult of opportunities, which Sachin sometimes wasn’t able to,” he added.
