India stands on strong position with 339 runs lead vs Kiwis

Kolkata: Host India team takes lead of 339 runs in the second inning against New Zealand during the second Test at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today.

With the Rohit Sharma’s inspiring 82 runs helped India to take strong position against the visiting Kiwi team.

Earlier, after bowling out New Zealand for 204 in their first inning, India reached total of 227 for 8 wickets to gain a lead of 339 runs at the end of the game during third day.

Rohit Sharma’s brilliant knock of 82 runs on a day two of a paced track as India survived a top after host’s top order collapsed to rab the driving seat on a riveting third day.

India struggled to build on the 112-runs first inning lead with Virat Kohli shone with a 45 before Rohit and Wriddhiman Saha (39 not out) put on a 103-runs stand for the seventh wicket.
