India to kick start West Indies series on positive node

Antigua: The Indian cricket team who is currently on tour of West Indies looks pretty confident under new coach Anil Kumble and aiming to claim their third successive Test series when they take on host in the first game of the four match Test competition at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium starting tomorrow.

The four Test series will be lead by skipper Virat Kohli to better the record of India team who had won the previous two series in the Caribbean with a 1-0 margin in 2006 and in 2011.

On other hand, host has not won a Test series against anyone apart from Bangladesh or Zimbabwe whether at home ground or at foreign play ground since August 2012.

While India have won two series on their way away from home by 2-1 against Sri Lanka and thrashing South Africa 3-0 at home.

Playing their first Test, the Indian side had a decent outing in both the warm-up games against the West Indies Cricket Board President’s XI side, with both the batsmen and bowlers spending ample time in the middle.
