Indian team needs to win ODI series vs Kiwis to move up in ICC ranking

Dubai: The Indian cricket team who is currently ranked number fourth in International Cricket Council (ICC) will need to win the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series against New Zealand by the margin of 4-1 to improve its position in the ICC ranking list.

Presently Indian team is on No. 4th position with (110 points) facing trail of New Zealand team with (113 points) the difference is of only three points which they need to shed by defeating Kiwis with the margin of 4-1 in the ongoing series to reach on No. 3rd rank.

New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult will start the five-match series as the number-one ranked bowler while India’s highest ranked bowler is R Ashwin, who has been rested for the series.

In the batsmen rankings, Virat Kohli remains in number two spot behind A B de Villiers.
