IndvsEng: Jadeja-Ashwin help India post 354/7 at lunch

Mohali: Lower middle order took India to a fine position as they managed 354/7 in their first innings at lunch in reply to England’s 283 runs on the third day of the third cricket Test match.

Resuming at 270/6, it was Ravindra Jadeja along with Ashwin who managed to get past the England score and also get India to a 71-run lead.

Jayant Jadav is unbeaten at 26 and is assisting Jadeja to put India on top with the help of a crucial and unconquered 53-run eighth-wicket partnership.

The only wicket to fall for India in Monday’s first session was Ravichandran Ashwin’s (72), who was caught by Jos Butler off the bowling of Ben Stokes.
