There are still many reasons why MS Dhoni should be in the Indian team for upcoming games against West Indies. His splendid knock of 78 off 79 in the third match has proved that he is still one of the best finishers in the world. Dhoni once again grabbed the eyeballs yesterday when he did a lighting fast stumping behind the stumps and got the better of Jason Holder when he was trying to play a leg side delivery of Ashwin.

He is already in his thirties but still he seems much fit and athletic on the field. He has worked hard on his fitness which can be clearly seen by his performance with the bat and behind the stumps on the field. He now has 371 dismissals to his name in ODIs, with 274 catches and 97 stumpings from 294 matches.

Earlier, in the third match between Indian and West Indies visitors did not get off to a fine start as the opener Shikar Dhawan was out early in the innings and was followed by the dismissal of Indian Skipper Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh. Then Dhoni came in to bat and as the pitch was bit slow due to moisture so it became difficult to survive on the pitch and rotate the strike. But Dhoni played his shots respecting the good deliveries and smashing the loose balls outside the off stump.

His 29 off 52 deliveries had just one boundary and from there he paced his innings and smashed two sixes in the 47th over of Jason Holder. If he continues in the same form then he can make his way for the upcoming 2019 world cup. Skipper Virat Kohli too is backing MS because he knows MS is a big match player and he has the capability to tense the opposition any time.

Now it’s a good opportunity for Men in Blue to whitewash the series and end it on a positive note before playing against big guns like South Africa and Australia.
