Infosys employee’s murderer arrested in Tirunelveli

Chennai: Late on Friday night, police nabbed the assailant who is suspected to have murdered the Infosys employee S Swathi at a railway station in Chennai. The attacker was arrested from Tirunelveli.

As per reports, the attacker has been identified as Ramkumar from Sengottai in Tirunelveli. The 22-year-old is a graduate in engineering and he tried to kill himself by slitting his throat with a knife as soon as the police traced him.

The police rushed Rakesh immediately to the Government Medical College Hospital in Tirunelveli and his condition is said to be fine. The assailant had been reportedly stalking Swathi for months before he killed in broad day light at a railway station.

Friend of the deceased said that he knew about the suspect stalking his friend.

The incident took place last month when Swathi was going to work and was about to board a train at the Nungambakkam Railway Station in Chennai.
