Interested candidates for the position of head coach can apply: BCCI

NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today made it clear that it will begin the process for new applicants for the position of head coach of the Indians men’s cricket team and Anil Kumble will be a direct entry into the process.

In a media release, the BCCI stated that it was calling upon interested candidates for the position of head coach of the men’s team and that to “ensure a fair and completely transparent process” a nominee of the Committee of Administrators (CoA) will oversee the process of selecting the best candidate along with the Cricket Advisory Committee comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman.

The three legends of Indian cricket, said the BCCI, will “conduct interviews and seek presentations to select the best possible candidate to guide the team and take Indian cricket forward”.
