IPL 2016: Jerome Taylor replaces Malinga in Mumbai Indians

Mumbai: Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga has been replaced by West Indies fast bowler Jerome Taylor in Mumbai Indians in the ongoing tournament of IPL 2016.

“Mumbai Indians have called up West Indies fast bowler Jerome Taylor to replace the injured Sri Lankan paceman Lasith Malinga for the remainder of the VIVO IPL 2016,” the franchise said.

After contractual paperwork formalities, Taylor will be available for selection in MI.

Previously, West Indian pacer has represented Punjab and Pune franchise.

Malinga, who played 98 matches in the IPL since joining the Mumbai Indians in 2009 season, was ruled out after the medical team found him unfit because of a recurring knee injury.
