New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has partnered with State Bank of India (SBI) to provide a detailed plan for promotion of rail ticketing activities which includes internet and unreserved ticketing system.
The Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) of Indian Railway, IRCTC which holds tourism, catering and internet ticketing activities, along with SBI have signed MoU to undertake development of Unreserved Ticketing System will be jointly handled.
A senior IRCTC official told media persons, “We will jointly explore areas of cooperation and draw up a detailed plan for promotion of rail ticketing activities.”
According to MoU said: “Both parties are desirous of working together to provide improved Internet ticketing services to the customers of Indian Railways in the field of Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) and Internet-based e-ticketing system.”
IRCTC CMD A K Manocha and Arundhati Bhattacharya, CMD of SBI, on July 18th signed the MoU.
