ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi killed in air strike in Syria:Reports

Rome:  In a recent development, reports are that the chief of the terror group ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been supposedly killed in an air strike in Syria which was carried out by the US-led coalition.

The Iranian state media cites an IS Arabic news agency al-Amaq as saying that on Sunday, ISIS’s chief, Baghdadi died in an air strike on Raqqa in northern Syria.

A statement of the news agency read, “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed by coalition airstrikes on Raqqa on the fifth day of Ramadan.” However, the group is yet to comment on the same.

On Monday, an Iraqi TV channel, ‘Al-Suamaria’ said that ISIS’s caliphate was injured on Sunday in a coalition air strike which was carried out, 65 kilometres west of Mosul.

Baghdadi had USD 25 million bounty on his head.
