ISIS claims responsibility of Orlando Shooting

Washington: Terror outfit, Islamic State (IS) has claimed the responsibility of the deadly Orlando Shooting incident which claimed lives of around 50 people.

Also, a message was published by the group’s semi-official news agency, Amaq in which it described the gunman Omar Mateen as a ‘soldier of the caliphate’.

Talking about the incident, it is considered to be one of the worst shooting in the US history which claimed lives of around 50 and more than 53 were injured after a gunman opened fire at the gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

As of now, a state emergency has been declared in Florida.

The 29-year-old was killed by the SWAT team. An official said that an assault rifle, a handgun and another device has been recovered from the dead militants.

Orlando Police Chief John Mina said, “It appears he was organized and well-prepared.”

The investigating officers also said that the gunman was not associated to the group and that the killings were ideologically motivated.
