JDU leader Ali Amwar makes objectionable remark on Smriti Irani

New Delhi: Janata Dal (United) leader, Ali Anwar passed a controversial remark against Smriti Irani who was demoted to the post of Textile Minister from HRD Minister following re-shuffle in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet.

In his statement to a leading news channel, Anwar said, “Good that Irani has been elected as textile minister; it will help her cover body.”

However, later he tried to manipulate his statement by saying that he was referring to the bodies of the people in general.

Following re-shuffle in PM Modi’s cabinet Smriti was sent from HRD to Textile Ministry. Also, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar has been handed over the charge of HRD Ministry. He was take charge of his office today.

Javadekar reacted to Anwar’s comment saying, “This is the worse comment I had ever heard of.”
