Jihadi menace caused Kairana Exodus: Hoax or Reality?

Kairana/ Shamli: After a much heated up dispute over the mass evacuation of Hindus from Kairana, Shamli  district of western Uttar Pradesh, influenced by the ‘Jihadi elements’, a new development was transcribed when a list of immigrants handed by BJP MP, Hukum Singh, an accused in Muzzafarnagar communal violence came out to be an mendacious affair.

UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav foiled the list submitted by the BJP MP which mentions that the Hindus allegedly left the district due to some jihadi influence. Probe in the case by the state government reveals that the list includes the name of those who are still living there, have died years back or moved out with their own will for better employment.

“Four persons named in the list died around 20 years back, 13 people were found staying at home and 68 had left Kairana several years ago for better life. The process of verifying other names are still on,” a leading daily Shamli SP Vijay Bhushan as saying.

Scrutiny of the list is also demanded by Mr Yadav as he was quoted saying “Are the Samajwadis responsible for that? We want the truth out in the open. Since polls are near and the BJP has no issue, they want to black out all our good work.”
