Kapil Sharma clarifies low TRP rumors of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’

Mumbai: First episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, which was aired on SONY TV on April 24, has received mixed reviews from the viewers. While some praised the show, there were few others who disliked it as they found nothing new from the noted stand-up comedian, Kapil Sharma.

The show was welcomed by the Kapil Sharma fans over the social media. When asked from the ‘Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon’ actor, he said that there are very few who showed thumbs down to the show but eventually it got a good response from the audiences.

He said, “Those are very few people. On Twitter, the number of tweets received for our show on opening day was more than IPL. As far as mixed reports go, someone or the other keep saying things. Koi na koi kuch na kuch bol deta hai.”

There were reports that Comedy Nights Live got more Television Rating Points (TRP)s than The Kapil Sharma Show in its opening episode. When asked about the same, Kapil said, “Critics say TRP of my new show was not like my previous one. To them, I want to say that TRP comes only a week later not immediately.”
