Kashmir remains under curfew for 73rd consecutive day

Srinagar: The Valley of Kashmir remained under curfew restrictions for 73rd consecutive day in parts of Srinagar city, Pulwama and Baramulla districts to prevent separatist called protest rallies.

The guerrillas on yesterday night snatched four weapons from the guards of a ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) district president in Anantnag.

Life was completely paralised with all markets, educational institutions; public transport and other businesses have remained un-operational in the parts of valley.

At least 89 people along with 86 civilians and three policemen-have been died since the ongoing unrest began on July 9th after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

Near about 11,500 people have been injured during this protest and shutdown.
