Local court rejects bail plea of JD (U) MLC Manorama Devi

New Delhi: On Thursday, bail petition of suspended JD (U) MLC Manorama Devi was rejected by a local court in Gaya.  She has blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for falsely associating her under a political conspiracy.

Devi was sent into 14-day judicial custody on Tuesday. She was accused of violating the prohibition law.

Mother of Rocky Yadav who is accused in a case of road rage for killing a Class 12 student over overtaking his BMW. Devi has been escaping arrest soon after an arrest warrant was issued against her.

She was declared as guilty by the district administration after she went missing following registration of a case against her under the Excise Act.

Bottles of liquor were seized from her residence during raid which was carried out to arrest her son.
